WCSC-TV is seeking a talented and creative online community leader to join the #1 news team in Charleston, SC. Individual will be required to report, write, select and publish original news and other stories to assigned station websites while ensuring consistency and accuracy of stories. The ability to develop relationships and reliable sources within our community is essential. Qualified candidates will have an understanding of journalistic ethics and an enthusiasm for swift, accurate dissemination of news. Candidate must have an ability to learn new systems and jump into a fast-paced publishing environment. Successful candidate will be self motivated, and able to work well with a diverse group of individuals under deadline pressure. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal, journalism background, basic HTML knowledge and willingness to work extended hours to include nights, weekends and holidays is required. Degree in a journalism or related field strongly preferred. Experience with Photoshop and digital video editing helpful.
